Atzei is situated in Mogoro, Sardinia, within the Isola dei Nuraghi IGP. The vineyards are spread across various elevations and micro-climates, blending influences from both coastal and inland sites. Coastal vineyards provide refreshing acidity and saline notes, while inland vineyards contribute ripeness and structure.
The winemaking process begins with a brief skin maceration. Fermentation occurs in a controlled environment to limit oxygen exposure, using selected yeasts. The wine undergoes batonnage in steel tanks for 40 days.
