The Enrico Toro Distillery is located in Tocco da Casauria, Italy, near the Central Apennines and Maiella National Park. The area has a heritage of using local herbs and botanicals in spirit production. The distillery has been producing spirits since 1817, reflecting traditional drinking customs from the region.
The base spirit is distilled from wheat and combined with a proprietary blend of herbs and spices. Many of the botanicals are hand-picked from the nearby Maiella National Park. The botanicals undergo cold maceration in alcohol for about two months and the liqueur is sweetened with Italian acacia honey.
