Château La Tour Carnet's unique terroir combines clay and limestone, enhancing the fruit character of its wines.

Château La Tour Carnet, one of the oldest estates in the Médoc, has roots dating back to the 12th century. Originally a medieval fortress, it has undergone significant restoration under the ownership of Bernard Magrez since the early 2000s. The estate's name honors a valiant squire, and its architecture features a distinctive tower surrounded by moats.

The estate spans 132 hectares, with a focus on Merlot, which comprises 60% of the blend. The vineyard is situated on a unique clay-limestone mound known as the Butte de la Tour Carnet. Grapes are hand-harvested and vinified in both concrete and wooden vats, with aging occurring in oak barrels for 18 months, 50% of which are new.
