Isole e Olena's elevation enhances the character of its Sangiovese, reflecting a commitment to quality over quantity.

Isole e Olena was formed by merging two estates in the 1950s. The De Marchi family played a pivotal role in transforming Chianti Classico, shifting the focus from quantity to quality. Paolo De Marchi took over the estate in 1975, emphasizing the potential of Sangiovese and pioneering vineyard practices that improved grape quality.

Cepparello is produced exclusively from Sangiovese grapes sourced from selected high-altitude vineyards. The wine undergoes fermentation in conical French oak vats and is aged for 18 months in a mix of French and American oak barrels.
