The producer
Tuscany's renowned Sangiovese
The vineyards of Tuscany yield a wine that balances structure and flavor through its unique terroir.
Cantina di Montalcino is a cooperative winery established in Montalcino, a region celebrated for its Sangiovese grapes. The cooperative comprises 94 small farms, each contributing to the quality of the wines produced. This collaboration allows for a diverse representation of the region's terroir, ensuring that the wines reflect the unique characteristics of Montalcino.
The Rosso di Montalcino undergoes red vinification with a maceration period of about 10 days. This medium maceration helps achieve a balanced relationship between aroma and structure. After fermentation at temperatures between 78-82°F, the wine ages in stainless steel for 7-8 months before bottling.
