Tasting notes
Blackcurrant leaf meets white flowers
Ripe fruit leads into a fresh, supple palate with a mineral edge.
The nose carries ripe-fruit aromas, white flowers, and blackcurrant leaf. The palate is long-lasting, with fruit, freshness, suppleness, and minerality.
Bright acidity keeps the palate feeling fresh and brisk. The finish is bone dry. Serve at 50–54°F.
The producer
Verdigny at Sancerre's heart
Domaine Roger Neveu's Sauvignon Blanc comes from Terres Blanches, Caillottes and Silex soils in Sancerre.
The Neveu family's vineyards have passed through generations. The estate is based in Verdigny, in the heart of Sancerre.
Grass grows between the rows across 50% of the vines. The estate slowly ferments the Sauvignon Blanc in temperature-controlled stainless steel, then ages it on fine lees to preserve its aromas.
