The producer
Historical roots in Piemonte
The Scrimaglio family has been part of the Piedmont landscape since the 17th century, producing wines that reflect their heritage.
Originally known as Escrimeaux, the Scrimaglio family fled persecution in France and settled in Piedmont in the 17th century. Their legacy is so intertwined with the land that their name became associated with Regione Scrimaglio, located between Nizza Monferrato and Castel Boglione.
Scrimaglio Barolo is produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. The wine undergoes fermentation with long maceration on the skins, followed by malolactic fermentation. It ages for a minimum of two years in large oak barrels.
