The producer
A family legacy in Piedmont
The Scrimaglio family has been dedicated to promoting the purity of Piedmontese grape varieties for over a century.
The Scrimaglio family has been in Piedmont since the 17th century, originally known as Escrimeaux. They settled in the Monferrato area after fleeing persecution in France, and their name became associated with the region where they established their roots.
Scrimaglio emphasizes purity and tradition in its winemaking approach. The Chardonnay grapes are gently pressed and fermented in pressurized steel tanks at 59°F. The wine matures on the lees for an extended period, highlighting the varietal qualities of Chardonnay.
