The producer
Vineyards at 1,150 feet elevation
The high altitude and unique microclimate of Abruzzo shape the character of this wine.
Azienda Agricola Tiberio is located in the Abruzzo region, near Cugnoli. The vineyards span 30 hectares in a landscape rich in biodiversity, situated between 330 and 380 meters above sea level. The estate focuses on indigenous grape varieties, particularly ancient selections of Montepulciano, Trebbiano Abruzzese, and Pecorino.
The Montepulciano grapes are hand-harvested in mid-September. The winemaking process involves destemming and using only free run juice, which is fermented in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered, allowing for a natural expression of the terroir.
